Sales Manager - Automotive (Beaverton)

compensation: percent of front and back new and used vehicle gross as per the financial statement
employment type: full-time

Looking to hire an experience sales manager for an established automotive dealership. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Manage the sales staff.
a. SAVE-A-DEAL Meetings (daily). 1 on 1 meetings with sales staff (weekly)
b. Training sessions with teams and individuals (monthly, weekly). Listen to their outgoing/incoming phone calls and review sent emails through our customer relation management system.
c. Holding staff accountable and upholding the policies set forth by the owners
d. Reviewing and knowing the stats and goals of each sales associate and reviewing their performance on a weekly and monthly basis
e. Rally the team
2. Manage the F/I Department
a. Review the deals of the Finance Managers prior to the deals going into the office, making sure that deals and paperwork are complete
b. Daily Contracts in Transit meetings with each of the Finance Managers
c. Review numbers and penetration levels with the F/I and review their performance
d. Have monthly training meetings with the Finance Managers to review their month
3. Inventory Management
a. Drive the lot daily. Look for lot rot, overall cleanliness, display, and safety concerns. Remember that the front line is billboard exposure for the dealership.
b. Perform a walk lot with the sales staff to review newly acquired vehicles.
c. Old Age Inventory. What is old, where are these vehicles on our lot, are they marketed to sell? Review the inventory on a weekly basis.
d. Online pricing. Marketing the vehicles based on turns, manufacturer payouts, inventory pressure, market conditions, aged inventory.
e. Forecasting. Hold monthly, and quarterly forecast meeting to anticipate volume and gross.
f. Ordering the right number and mix of vehicles to hit forecasting numbers for the store.
g. Know the current status and have a game plan for Recalled vehicles
4. Accomplishing Sales Goals
a. Selling enough vehicles to hit the monthly sales goals given by our manufacturer and ownership
b. Surpassing a monthly sales goal of gross of $600,000
5. Oversee our reconditioning and new vehicle prep areas.
a. Know how many vehicles are in transit and getting involved in the needs of those departments
b. Check overall condition of lot and capacity levels – This will help in pricing and programs for sales
6. Internet sales. Review lead sources and process of the internet department. Review responses and confirm all appointments and reschedule missed appointments in the CRM for the day and weekend activities.
7. Review vendors prices and performance and renegotiate their deals if necessary.
8. Work with parts and service to promote accessories during the sales process.
9. Review overall condition of the sales floor, and sales staff work areas.
