In addition to providing good exercise for back muscles, this exerciser also helped me through a period of spinal pain and rehabilitation. Some years ago my lower back had become so painful that I could hardly walk. So I tried a few chiropractors. The longer I went to chiropractors, the worse it got. So my doctor set me to a physical therapy facility that had an answer. Exercise. They put me in a $35,000 computerized exerciser to strengthen the muscles and focus exercise on my lower spine. After about 2 months my back was much, much better.
When my therapy was completed it was recommended that I keep exercising my back, but I didn't believe touching my toes 24 times twice a week was as good as what that computerized machine did, so with the blessings of my therapist I got myself a back exerciser that mimicked the function of the one I had used in my therapy sessions minus the computer. It still cost me $1,200. But now, years later, my back is feeling great and I'd like to sell my exerciser. This thing is solid! It is very rugged and has only two roller bearings, both of which can be oiled if ever needed to keep it in tip top shape and operating smoothly. The stack of counter-weights can be varied in 10-pound increments between 10 and 100 pounds.
And I'm only asking $50 for it. It's gotta go.
If you suffer lower back pain you've got to try this thing! It worked wonders for me. Or if you want to strengthen your quadratus lumborum this would be my choice!
