DID YOU KNOW??
*Wheel bearings should be checked once a year and serviced if needed-they recommend 12 months OR 12,000 miles WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. When you see someone's tire & wheel rolling down the freeway off the trailer, this is often the culprit. Wheel bearings unserviced for so long can lead to damaged axles which can take 2 months to order replacement axles.
*Breakaway Batteries (the cute little battery that most think should run their interior lights and never do) only last about 2-3 years before they drain and need replaced. SOME have rechargeable systems and we can install those. This guy is the start of a system that will save you in the event of an emergency if your trailer were to come unhooked-it will pull the pin hooked to the cable and activate a switch that locks the brakes to reduce the damage and injuries that could happen with a trailer wildly running down the road by itself
*Trailer tires-although they might have good tread depth, are only recommended to be in service for about 5-7 years. The rubber will start to age and crack which will lead to a blow out. Blow outs, aside from very inconvenient and scary, can damage your fenders and the electrical wiring in your trailer
*Aluminum floors are just as prone to being compromised as wood floors. Make sure no matter what the floor type you should keep shavings in your trailer, pick manure and urine after each use, and pull the mats to wash and check the floors 1x or 2x each year depending on how heavy you use it
